Who answers the next question?
Ask for a written care plan and find out how to send questions after the visit. This page also shows where to complain about the treating person, a pharmacy or the clinic business.
Before the visit ends, ask what the next conversation is for. Write down how to reach the care team, who reads messages and how to request a copy of your plan. Leave space for questions that come up later.
| Part of the plan | An answer to write down | A question if it is missing |
|---|---|---|
| Review | What the clinician plans to review with you. | How will we decide whether the plan still fits? |
| Questions | Who receives a message about the medicine or the care plan. | Will a health professional answer my medicine question, or will it go to office staff who handle bills and appointments? |
| Records | How to request the visit note and share it with another clinician. | Where is the written plan kept, and how can I get a copy? |
Online care still needs a written record
Florida law requires the clinician to write notes about your online care in your medical record. The notes must meet the same rules as notes for an in-person visit. This means written care notes, rather than filming the visit. Checked September 28, 2026. Florida on documenting online care
Ask for the plan in ordinary words. It can include what was discussed, what comes next and which questions remain open. Tell the clinician if a phrase is unclear.
